Heavy Equipment Operator - Intermodal Terminal

With a wealth of industry experience, you will join the Melbourne Intermodal Terminal (MIT) team as a core member. Reporting to the Terminal Manager, you will be safety-focused, motivated and forward thinking.

Primary Responsibilities

Operating a range of Heavy Equipment to handle & maneuver customer freight.

This includes loading and unloading freight from/to Train, Truck or Ground.

Yard movements via Terminal tractor and trailer.

Ensuring proper placement & stability in a safe and efficient manner.

• Safety Compliance - Following workplace safety protocols & procedures.
• Documentation & Record Keeping - Maintaining accurate records of container movements, equipment inspections and other relevant information via manual manifest or via digital resources, fitted to heavy equipment.
• Equipment Maintenance - Perform pre-operational checks to ensure equipment is in good working condition. Reporting anything not functioning as normal to Operations leader.
• Collaboration & communication - Working effectively with leadership & other team members to ensure smooth workflow.

• 5 years of bulk logistics industry experience desired

• HRWL - RS(TLILIC0011) & CB(TLILIC0016)

Desirable Requirements

• Drivers Licence - HC(Heavy Combination)
